When I try to reinstall tiger from the disk it asks for my login and password but when I go to type them in the fields remain blank.Įverything is backed up but I am afraid to turn the computer off now in case it restarts and asks for a login and password, which it wont allow me to type in. Something went terribly wrong after this. I then clicked on the restore tab and dragged the Mac OS 10.4 Install disc into the source field and I dragged the Hard drive into the destination field and then I clicked restore.
So I went to disk utilities and under the erase tab it would only allow me to erase free space not the hard drive. I was trying to do an erase and restore installation of 10.4 but I was only getting an option to upgrade instead of restore.
